A statement on recent events

Jaku Konbit is acutely aware of the differential treatment of Black individuals, and how years of systematic and physical attacks of racism have disproportionately affected Black people. Anti-Black racism is not new, but with more publicity it is at the forefront of the human race with the recent killings of Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, Breona Taylor, George Floyd, Abdirahman Abdi and Regis Korchinski-Paquet. This is why Jaku Konbit is vital to the community and why we stand and firm in the delivery of programs and services for the African/Caribbean Black Canadian population.
