Traveling Photo Exhibit and Human Library The Project A traveling photo exhibit that will showcase social issues (rooted in the six priorities of the Community Safety and Well-being Plan) within the City of Ottawa as well as key milestones in community social services and the people who made them happen.
The subjects of the exhibit will be City staff, community partners, and community front-line workers working in the six priority areas of the Plan.
The exhibit would travel to various community centres and/or public libraries.
Objectives
To raise awareness of the Community Safety and Well-being Plan, its priorities, people who are behind the projects and the people the plan is supporting.
Style
The exhibit is now at the Ottawa Public Library – St-Laurent branch. The City of Ottawa also launched a website for those who cannot visit the exhibit in person (available in English and French): Caring for Community: Financial Security and Poverty Reduction.
