Biography

Myriam has completed a Master’s degree in counselling psychology at the University of Ottawa and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Social Sciences of Health.

This young Haitian-Canadian woman’s lived experience with inequality has empowered her to help those in her community through counselling and the exploration of the self. Myriam’s goal is to create safe spaces for Black youth to be vulnerable, thus giving them the opportunity to explore unhealthy behaviors/thoughts/beliefs. Myriam wishes to empower her community through self-exploration and self-healing, in a manner that respects their sociocultural identities and contributes to their well-being.
